Journalism workshop

The two-day Journalism Enhancement Workshop
for School Paper Advisers and Journalists,
organized by the Cagayan de Oro City Division
of the Department of Education, ends today
at Hotel Koresco.
Participants are winners of the 2014 Division Schools Press Conference
held last month. They will compete in the regional level to be held
on December 1-3 in Camiguin.

DSPC 2014

The two-day 2014 Division Schools Press Conference
opened this morning at the Liceo de Cagayan University.
Campus journalists representing public and private schools,
elementary and secondary, will compete in 10 events (English and Filipino),
namely Photojournalism, Editorial Cartooning, Sports Writing,
Editorial Writing, News Writing, Feature Writing,
Copyreading & Headline Writing, Science & Health Writing,
Script Writing & Radio Broadcasting, and Collaborative Writing.
The theme is "Empowering Resilient Communities Through Campus Journalism".

NSPC 2014

At the Regional Educational Learning Center
last Friday and Saturday, winners in the
Regional Schools Press Conference
participated in an enhancement training
to prepare for the National Schools Press Conference,
which will be held at Subic next month.

DSPC 2013

Hundreds of campus journalists from about 70 schools,
private and public, elementary and secondary,
are competing in this year's edition of the
Division Schools Press Conference
hosted by the East City Central School.
The theme is "Campus Journalism & Transformational Leadership".
May the best newswriters, editorial writers, feature writers, sportswriters,
editorial cartoonists, photojournalists, copyreaders and radio broadcasters
in English and Filipino win!

Campus journalism

Students of Cagayan de Oro schools
are preparing for the Division Schools Press Conference,
an interschool journalism competition,
scheduled for August 30 and 31.
Some are attending seminars and workshops,
and some are participating in school-level competitions.
