Pilmico Livelihood Expo 2014

Today and tomorrow.
Here is a press release (edited) about the event from Pilmico:

ABOITIZ Equity Ventures’ food group Pilmico holds its “Livelihood Expo 2014: Celebrating the Baker, the Farmer and the Breeder” on May 24-25 at the Misamis Oriental Provincial Capitol grounds.

The biggest feeds and flour expo in the country, held in cooperation with the Misamis Oriental Provincial Capitol, Provincial Veterinary Office, Provincial Tourism Office, and the Provincial Employment Services Office, features Pilmico flour for the first time.

Participants from Northern Mindanao provinces will attend free seminars and demos on the latest practices and technology in hograising and gamefowl breeding as well as bakery operations.

The Pilmico Poultry and Livestock Expo is aimed at educating participants on proper backyard livestock raising using Pilmico’s four-pillar Diamond Program: breeding and genetics, sound management, complete healthcare, and excellent nutrition.

“Pilmico advocates backyard raising as a way to bring families together,” said Pilmico vice president for sales Hendel Cabral. “It’s an activity that even children can be involved in, have fun, while subsequently immersing themselves in the family business.”

The Aboitiz Group, through Pilmico, has been providing its customers with world-class flour and feeds for over 50 years.

High-quality Pilmico Feeds include the brands Ultimax, Elite, Classic, Civic and Lakas Tandem for hogs; Poultry Express, Avemax, and Gallimax for poultry; and Salto for gamefowl.

For Pilmico’s hard flour ideal for breads, noodles and pizza, the brands are Sun Moon Star, Sunshine, Glowing Sun and Kutitap; and for Pilmico’s soft flour used for pastries, cookies, cakes, wafers and pancakes, the brands are Gold Star and Mega Star. Rounding up the Pilmico flour portfolio is the Wooden Specialty Flour range that is ideal for siopao and cakes.

The partner exhibitors and facilitators that complement Pilmico in this expo are Bayer, Novartis, Boehringer Ingelheim, Merial Philippines, Pfizer, Elanco, PIC and Virbac for the hogs segment; Excellence Poultry and Livestock Specialists, Vista del Rio Farm, and media partners Pit Games Media and Tukaan Sultada for the gamefowl category; and Besterm, Ferna, Bakels and Sinmag for the flour part.

Other notable activities at the expo are the Live Animal Display, Technical Baking Sessions, and Games in which 20 piglets and a terminal boar will be raffled off to lucky seminar attendees.

A special feature is the 3PM Pilmico Habit during which breads made from Pilmico flour will be distributed to participants in the exhibit grounds as the clock strikes 3 in the afternoon.
